After crash, Salem supervisors declare emergency and authorize Bronder to repair Route 22 signals

Salem Township supervisors declared an emergency and authorized contracts to repair traffic signals damaged in a vehicular accident, the board said at its Jan. 21 meeting.
Supervisors voted unanimously to authorize an emergency declaration for immediate repairs recommended by Traffic Control after a vehicle damaged a signal pole at the US 22/Route 119/Operators Way intersection. The board also approved — subject to final solicitor review — Standard Form of Agreement contracts with Bronder Technical Services to repair traffic signals at Route 22 & Route 819 and at Route 22 & Hollywood Boulevard. Ryan Thomas of MBM Law reviewed revisions to the agreement adding contract-termination language; the motions were conditioned on final solicitor approval.
Kerry Jobe said the accident had been reported to the insurance company and the township had already received a partial reimbursement. Supervisors emphasized the motions were contingent on the solicitor’s final review of the revised contract language.
