Aldermen authorize Lochmueller Group contract for Hanna Road right-of-way work, $124,250 cap

The Manchester Board of Aldermen on Jan. 5 approved Resolution No. 26-1041 authorizing the city administrator to contract with Lochmueller Group, Inc. for right-of-way acquisition services for the STP-5504 Hanna Road improvements in an amount not to exceed $124,250.
After Alderman Dodge read the resolution, he asked how the 48 property owners on the project corridor would be notified. Director Errol Tate said the Lochmueller Group will send notification letters to each property owner to explain the right-of-way process. Tate also clarified the resolution amount covers consultant services and does not include any payments to property owners; owners can be compensated or can donate property, and compensation amounts will be calculated separately if needed. Tate stated this is the city's first time working with the Lochmueller Group.
Alderman Dodge moved to approve the resolution; Alderwoman Ottenad seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The contract will begin consultant outreach to property owners and proceed with right-of-way acquisition tasks as required for the Hanna Road improvements project.
