Select Board approves Warrant #29 payments, wage warrants and a CD renewal; accepts committee resignation

Chair Brian Mills moved to accept the minutes from the board's Jan. 6 meeting; Select Board member Frederick Detheridge seconded and the motion carried. The board then considered payments on Warrant #29, including a $107,742 disbursement to Andover School and an $8,201.30 payment to the Andover Water District. During that discussion, Margaret Madigan, representing the Water District, said the district has applied for a grant and expects an answer in February and has reviewed reservoir needs but has not established a price for the 'one‑mile square' project.
Mills moved and Detheridge seconded a series of payments to vendors and service providers recorded on the warrant, including CN Brown, Med Care ($3,055), RHR Smith ($2,016), the Secretary of State ($1,940.50), and Steve Swasey Inc. ($9,375). The board approved the remainder of Warrant #29, listed in the minutes as $139,467.88. The Select Board also approved Wage Warrant #29 for $7,446.24 and an adjustment to Wage Warrant #28 bringing its total to $9,596.47. All motions were made by Chair Brian Mills and seconded by Frederick Detheridge; the minutes record the votes as carried.
On a separate motion, the board approved renewing Walter Fox's certificate of deposit at an interest rate of 3.25% for nine months. The board also moved to accept the resignation of Sharon Hutchins from the AOHD Committee chair position and asked that a thank-you letter be sent.
