Treasurer: Andover received $46K LRAP payment; board applies $27K to road bond and approves warrants

Andover’s Treasurer Amber Cooper told the Select Board on Dec. 16 that the town received approximately $46,000 in Local Road Assistance Program (LRAP) funds. The board applied about $27,000 of that to an existing road bond and placed the remaining funds in a designated account; Cooper said roughly $7,000 was used on East Andover Road work.
Cooper also reported MedCare premiums for town insurance will increase from $43 to $48.75 per individual starting in January 2026; she said the change reflects a per-individual approach aimed at reducing sudden supplemental charges for smaller towns.
The board voted to accept the Dec. 9 meeting minutes and to pay Warrant #25 for $6,900. It approved Wage Warrant #24 for $8,426.35 and an adjusted Wage Warrant #23 for a new total of $8,911.95. All motions were carried and recorded in the minutes.
Chair Brian Mills asked whether extra LRAP funds could be applied to the Farmers Hill bond; the board left that question for follow-up with staff.
