Chair Brian Mills moved the purchase and Select Board member Fred Detheridge seconded; the motion carried.
Adler said the department needs 16 bottles now with a second batch planned for 2027 and that not all vendors are authorized to sell Scott equipment, which limited quote options. On disposal of retired cylinders, Adler said the department will dismantle them and send parts to landfill.
Board members discussed timing for related building repairs; Adler said the station door can be repaired this winter with temporary tarping and staging, but he planned to wait until spring to secure a contractor. Mills offered contact information for a local contractor who might assist.
