The Zeeland Board of Public Works took several routine actions on Feb. 10, approving December 2025 cash disbursements and the regular monthly transfers; awarding inventory transformer purchases for FY2027; and approving a marketing and communications contract with Yellow Lime Creative LLC for 2026–2027.
Accounting staff presented customer metrics for November and December 2025, noting roughly 8,000 active accounts and a similar number of bills sent in each month. The Board also heard that the 2025 Holiday Power Dollars program saw 1,612 customers claim $24,180 in certificates, with $19,195 redeemed as of Feb. 1 (approximately a 79.4% redemption rate).
On procurement, the Board approved purchase awards for ten single‑phase pad‑mounted transformers to RESCO (ERMCO units) for $34,904 and six three‑phase pad‑mounted transformers to IRBY (GE units) for $81,784. The Board also approved continuation of professional marketing services with Yellow Lime Creative LLC for an annual contract cost of $66,960, which includes a $5,500 monthly retainer and a $15,000 out‑of‑scope allowance that requires staff approval to spend.
Motions to approve minutes from the Jan. 13 meeting, approve transactions and awards, and adjourn were carried with all voting aye.
