During public comment, marketing consultant Landon Gatliff proposed a one-year service to rebuild and manage the city website, provide social-media content and produce three short promotional videos per year for $7,200 ($600/month).
Gatliff described the package as a full rebuild (not a refresh) that would include new photography (including drone images), a search function, hosting and ongoing updates so information remains current. He said the monthly plan includes one social post per month and three videos, each about 90 seconds, and emphasized that ongoing management prevents the site from becoming outdated. "By having a monthly agreement, you're not just receiving a new website and being left alone to manage it. You're receiving someone who stays on top of it every single month and making sure that everything stays new, consistent and it really builds that momentum," Gatliff told the council.
Council members discussed whether airport promotion funds (A&P) or other municipal lines could legally pay for parts of the work, whether the city needs an in-house point person to feed content to a vendor, and the need to review the proposal alongside the budget after Thanksgiving. Several council members and staff noted the citys current site is difficult for residents to use and that integrating municipal code, maps and permitting could be longer-term tasks.
Gatliff left contact information and council agreed to review the proposal during the budget conversation scheduled after Thanksgiving.
