Board forms Executive Relations Committee to craft superintendent evaluation and retreat plan

The Perrysburg Exempted Village Board of Education agreed June 16 to form a short‑term Executive Relations Committee to develop a superintendent evaluation process, timelines, and related materials.

The committee — proposed as a small working group to move the work forward quickly — will use a draft evaluation framework circulated in advance as a starting point and will accept input from all trustees. Board members emphasized the need for a practical, concise instrument and recommended the committee produce a clear timeline and actionable goals for the superintendent.

Board members said the committee’s work will also tie into retreat planning for the district’s incoming superintendent and noted the retreat will include facilitated sessions on shared expectations and strategic priorities. Several members said they want an evaluation completed this summer to set goals for the coming academic year.

The board named a three‑member Executive Relations Committee (members agreed in the meeting: Susan and Casey volunteered to lead the first phase and will solicit input from other trustees); committee members will draft materials and return them for board consideration.
