Tinicum supervisors say Headquarters Road Bridge project is on schedule; board thanks volunteers and previews 2026 priorities

During the Jan. 5, 2026 Tinicum Township Board of Supervisors meeting Chairperson Eleanor Breslin updated attendees on infrastructure and community priorities, saying supervisors and the structural engineer visited the Headquarters Road Bridge site in December and that the rehabilitation project is on schedule.
Township Manager Judith Danko, reporting the engineer's notes in Mr. Genner's absence, said the Township is continuing structural plan work on the Headquarters Road Bridge and waiting for further information on the Golden Pheasant Road Bridge while remaining on schedule despite poor weather. The Board listed ongoing subdivisions and truck studies as active engineering matters.
Breslin and other supervisors also used the meeting to thank volunteers who supported community events in 2025 — including the Earth Day Fair, Trunk or Treat, a public lecture and a December tree lighting that drew about 140 attendees — and to recognize Palisades Regional Fire and Rescue and local firefighters for emergency response. Breslin said the Board will monitor the transition to St. Luke's as the emergency services provider and invited resident feedback about service levels.
Looking ahead, Breslin said the Board aims to preserve additional land for the Township, finish the Headquarters Road Bridge rehabilitation, expand community engagement opportunities and maintain careful financial stewardship.
The meeting concluded with supervisor remarks welcoming new member Todd Quinby. The session adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
