Windsor water superintendent reports repairs, meter work and cautions on bulk non‑potable water

Quarterly water reports have been filed and a health inspection is likely to occur that month. He said meters were read and several nonworking meters will be replaced.
Decker said the clerk added language to bulk water and pool permits clarifying that the water provided is non‑potable and not suitable for drinking. He told the board he discussed concerns with the Fire Chief, noting that fire trucks are not designed to deliver potable water and that DEC guidance does not recommend filling private wells using fire apparatus; Decker said a homeowner typically recovers only about 10% of water delivered by that method.
The board received the report; no formal action on these operational items was taken at the meeting.
