Doug Ebert, the Select Board liaison to the Farmingdale Road Advisory Committee, told members Oct. 2 that the town would like to repave many roads in the Hayford Heights area and warned that repaving streets with storm drains would require replacing those drains, significantly increasing costs.
Ebert said the town could ask the Kennebec Valley Council of Governments (KVCOG) to look into potential grants to help pay for street paving and storm‑drain repairs. The committee recorded the update but took no formal vote on funding or a project list.
FRAC members were informed the next meeting will be Nov. 6, 2024, when members expect continued discussion and any follow‑up direction to the Road Commissioner or Select Board.
