The Farmingdale Road Advisory Committee on Oct. 2 recommended awarding three roadwork contracts and deferred a brush-and-tree grooming contract because the scope (mileage) was unknown. Eben Gilman, chair of the committee, moved each recommendation and the motions were seconded and passed.
Gilman recommended moving forward "with Harris Kubricky’s bid proposal of $16,000.00" for ditching and driveway culvert installation; Nancy Frost seconded and the motion passed, according to the minutes. He then recommended accepting BHS’s bid of $29,500 for a Debra Street turn‑around; Frost seconded and that motion also passed. The committee voted to recommend CCC Construction’s $39,995 bid to repair road shoulders on Northern Avenue and Ryder Road; Frost seconded and the motion passed.
On a separate motion, Gilman moved to defer the Brush and Tree Grooming contract "to the Road Commissioner and the Select Board due to not knowing how many miles this is to complete for this contract." Cathie Whitney seconded that motion and it passed. The minutes record the committee’s recommendations will be forwarded to the Select Board for final action.
The committee approved its minutes from Sept. 4, 2024, at the start of the meeting. The FRAC set its next meeting for Nov. 6, 2024.
