County Engineer Andy Conrad presented the necessity to close county roads for multiple culvert replacements; the commissioners approved the road-closure resolution unanimously. Sanitary Director of Engineering Ben Romine presented six related resolutions: amended and new professional design and inspection services agreements for the Chippewa Wastewater Treatment Plant project, the Chippewa and Lake Road water main replacement, the Ridgewood water main extension, the Hinckley Wastewater Treatment Plant headworks improvement and administration building, and Hinckley UV disinfection and facility improvements. The board approved all six in a single roll-call vote.
Finance Director Brett Thomas presented multiple finance items, including cash transfers for various funds, a transfer for the Social Service Levy Fund, acceptance of a grant agreement for a Sheriff Evidence Storage Security Enhancement Project, revenue adjustments for sale of surplus county property, authorization for county official expenses, and allowing a claims list in the amount of $963,563.15. Commissioners approved the finance package unanimously.
Planning Services Director Denise Testa presented authorization to submit a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for program year 2026; the board approved the submission. County Administrator Matt Springer presented four administrative items, including transfer of a vehicle from the Drug Task Force to the Sheriff’s Department, an amended lease for office space used by the Executive Director of CASA (a renewal of a space they have occupied for over a year), and two agreements for emergency placements of Adult Protective Services clients; those were approved by roll call. The meeting’s resolutions list records the corresponding resolution numbers for these actions.
