Batesville School District board approves security camera installation at high schools

The Batesville School District Board of Directors approved a proposal to purchase and install security cameras at Batesville High School (BHS) and Batesville Junior High School (BJHS) during its Nov. 17, 2025 regular meeting.

Mr. David Campbell introduced the proposal from KLC Video Security. The minutes record the motion as made by Director Chris Milum and seconded by Director Dwight Ford; the board voted Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1 and the motion carried. The meeting record also shows Mr. Campbell presenting the proposal to the board.

Board members and staff noted no public comment was received on the item. Superintendent Dr. Ginni McDonald requested a minor rescheduling earlier in the meeting, asking that agenda item G3 be moved from the November agenda to the December agenda.
