Missoula County appoints two incumbents and one new member to Aging Services Governing Board

Maddie told the board the county had received three applicants for the Missoula Aging Services Governing Board and recommended reappointing Marion Lepore and John O'Connor to new three-year terms and appointing Lisa Serwas to a new three-year term.

"This is request board appoint members to the Missoula Aging Services Governing Board," Maddie said, describing the term lengths as running through June 30, 2029. A board member moved to approve the appointments "exactly what she says," and another member seconded.

The board approved the appointments by voice vote; the meeting recorded the ayes and the chair declared the motion adopted. No public comment was offered on the item.

The appointments will place Lepore and O'Connor on three-year terms through June 30, 2029, and add Serwas as a newly seated member for the same term length. The action was processed as part of the meeting's consent/appointment business and no additional conditions or amendments were recorded on the floor.

Earlier in the meeting, commissioners briefly noted that Mission to Mars and Marshall Mountain received recognition in a mountain-biking publication for an adaptive trail; that announcement was presented during the consent agenda before the board moved on to the appointments. The meeting continued to other procedural items after the vote.
