At its Feb. 5 meeting the Maine School Administrative District No. 19 School Committee voted unanimously to accept first readings for two administrative items.
Jane Lanctot moved and Richard Huntley Jr. seconded to accept the first reading of policy DIDA (Fixed Assets); the motion passed 5-0. Later in the agenda Richard Huntley Jr. moved and Jane Lanctot seconded to adopt the School Nutrition Program — Procurement Procedures and Code of Conduct on first reading; that motion also passed 5-0.
Committee members treated both items as standard administrative steps to advance policies to subsequent review stages. No final adoptions (second readings or policy enactments) were recorded at the meeting.
The district will schedule the next steps in the policy-adoption process according to its usual procedures.
