The Maine School Administrative District No. 19 School Committee on Feb. 5 reviewed the first draft of the 2026–27 budget presented by Business Manager Chad Allen but did not take formal action.
Allen walked the committee through the draft and fielded questions about revenues and expenses; a January revenue and expense packet was distributed to members. Committee members raised routine questions about program funding and next steps; the board agreed to await final state subsidy figures before making changes or votes.
Superintendent MaryEllen Day reminded the committee that the AOS budget meeting is scheduled for Feb. 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Pembroke Elementary School. Day also noted administrative staffing and appointments since the last meeting.
The discussion was informational only; no motions were made regarding the budget and no votes on appropriations took place. The board moved on to scheduled first readings and other agenda items.
