Mayor’s Youth Council president urges students to apply as she heads to USC

Victoria Ramirez, speaking as the Mayor’s Youth Council representative, gave her final youth council update to the Duarte City Council before leaving for college.
Ramirez told the council the youth council’s scholarship review is closed and that applications for the next mayor’s youth council are now open. "Being part of the mayor's youth council has been one of the most meaningful experiences I've had... it gave me the opportunity to grow as a leader, meet new people, and become more involved in my community," she said.
Council members thanked Ramirez for her service, encouraged students to apply and wished her well after she said she will attend the University of Southern California in the fall.
