Beyond the large South View discussion, the Richmond Selectboard approved several routine but consequential administrative items Sept. 3.
The board authorized up to $2,000 from the Town Center and Library Reserve fund to purchase a ceiling microphone array to improve audience audio for broadcast and meeting minutes; Mansfield Community Television staff described the ceiling array as directional and effective for audience pickup.
The board adopted Emergency Order 2024-2, a short-term amendment that clarifies permitting requirements in the Flood Hazard Overlay District and gives 90 days after the order expires for required permits to be obtained; the change was presented as necessary to protect the town's National Flood Insurance Program status.
In response to flood-related damage, multiple purchase orders for emergency road and culvert repairs were amended and approved, and the board approved a $36,505 purchase order for Volunteer Green flood cleanup and tree removal. The board also approved warrants and several fire-department and towing repairs as recorded in consent items.
