During the April 7 Rock County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board audited and approved a comprehensive list of claims but withheld an item tied to FyrTek pending additional procurement documentation.
The claims list (recorded in the minutes) shows a line for "FYRTEK Ambulance" under Ambulance Replacement with an amount of $69,065.85. Commissioners noted that "3 informal quotes weren't obtained" for the ambulance cot-related purchase. To comply with county procurement expectations, the board asked the Ambulance service to obtain informal quotes for the cot and to return with those quotes for the board's reconsideration.
The motion to approve the claims was moved by Commissioner Colby Sybrant and seconded by Chairman Wade Hollenbeck; the board approved the claims list with the FyrTek item excluded. The board set no specific dollar substitute and did not approve the FyrTek invoice at this meeting.
