Alpine County approves one‑year EMS agreement with Mountain County after staff confirms insurance coverage

At its June 2 meeting the Alpine County Board of Supervisors approved agenda item 5.3, "approve agreement with Mountain County's emergency medical services agency," listed in the paperwork as "in the amount of $591.5" for the July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027 term.

A board member asked whether the county had received a certificate of insurance because one was not in the packet. Sam Booth, the county executive officer, said Cindy Murdaugh, the executive director of Mountain County's EMS, sent a summary of coverage that staff reviewed. "Sarah and I have reviewed that, and believe the coverage does meet our requirements. I've just emailed that to you as well," Booth said.

Chair (speaker 1) moved to approve item 5.3 and a board member seconded; the board voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
