Florence board bans individual from city property after executive session; approves sick‑leave update and insurance renewal

The board entered executive session at 6:45 p.m. In executive session, the board voted to authorize the City Attorney to send the barment letter; the minutes record Aldermen Herrin, Martin and Sistrunk voting Aye and Aldermen John Banks and Brian Grantham absent.
During the open meeting the board also approved administrative items including renewing employee health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi effective December 2025 and directing City Attorney Bobby Lingold to update the city sick‑leave policy to mirror state sick‑leave requirements. The board additionally authorized the city attorney to work with Mayor Trey Gunn on updating water and wastewater policies and fees.
