Plainview board to review policy-service options; policy committee to consider agenda changes
Summary
Superintendent Dr. Arlt told the board it must transition to a new policy service and identified NASB and KSB as options. The board also directed its Policy Committee to meet to draft updates to Policy #204.10 (Agenda).
During the May 11 meeting Dr. Arlt advised the Board of Education that the district will need to transition to a new policy service and identified two vendor options: NASB and KSB. The board did not select a provider at the meeting; proposals will be considered in the coming months.
Separately, the board discussed Board of Education Policy #204.10 (Agenda) and directed the Policy Committee to meet to prepare proposed updates for consideration by the full board. The board also discussed Policy #201.01 (Board Powers) and will bring further questions or suggested edits at a future meeting.
No formal motions selecting a policy service or adopting policy changes were recorded on May 11; the items remain under review and subject to the Policy Committee’s recommendations.
