Transportation director resigns; district names interim coordinator and outlines driver hires

Staff reported a new driver has completed training and will begin a new route the next day, another driver is expected to finish certification by the end of January, and a third candidate is in the hiring queue to be trained as a full-time substitute.
District staff said they will not immediately post the director position, preferring a short period of stability while the coordinator and returning staff manage operations. The district acknowledged ongoing inconvenience to families from changed routes but said the staffing steps should restore consistent service when new hires complete training.
