Glassport Borough Council on July 16 directed borough staff to obtain an appraisal for the parcel at 102 Seventh Street (parcel #558-C-201) and voted to re-advertise 509 Seventh Street (parcel #558-C-201) with no minimum bid after the property drew no bids in prior advertisements.
The appraisal motion was made by Paul Trunzo and seconded by Angelo Norelli and passed (Yes 6, No 0). Council later moved to advertise sealed bids for 509 Seventh Street with no minimum bid; that motion also passed unanimously.
Council indicated the decision to re-advertise the 509 Seventh Street parcel intends to broaden interest by removing a minimum bid threshold. No appraisal value, reserve price or prospective timelines for sale were provided at the meeting.
