Police chief thanks Exeter Township School District for hosting end-of-watch ceremony

"The death of an on-duty officer affects us all," Chief Pal said, and he praised district administrators, custodial staff, athletic staff and student volunteers for their roles in planning, livestreaming and supporting the ceremony. He singled out Dr. Christy Hower, Principal Tom Campbell, safety director Eric Sidell, athletic director Tom Legath, custodial supervisor Alex Young and IT director Sheldon Martin for their assistance.
Dr. Hower and board members thanked the district staff and students who assisted, noting it was an honor to host the community service for Officer Joerger, an Exeter graduate. The board recorded the remarks and moved on to regular business.
The remarks were delivered as a formal acknowledgment early in the meeting; no action was required.
