River Ridge Board accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman, begins vacancy outreach

The River Ridge Community Development District accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1, term through November 2026) at the Aug. 27 meeting.
District Manager Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman's resignation letter. On a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, the Board voted to accept the resignation.
Because the position is an appointment to fill an unexpired term rather than an election, the Board directed outreach to notify residents about the vacancy and candidate qualifications. Mr. Long and The Meadows' POA manager were asked to e-blast residents and encourage interested candidates to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting. The item for formal appointment and administration of the oath will appear on a future agenda.
