Diamond Bar council unanimously adopts ordinance banning camping on public property

Mayor Pro Tem Lo moved to approve the consent calendar; the Mayor seconded. City Clerk Santana called the roll: Councilmembers Chao, Liu, Tang, Mayor Pro Tem Lo and the Mayor voted yes, and the motion passed 5-0.
About the ordinance: Fox described the ordinance as a repeal of Diamond Bar City Code section 10.16.0.115 and the addition of chapter 8.28 to Title 8 of the Diamond Bar City Code to prohibit camping on public places and interference with public access. The ordinance was adopted as part of the consent process; no separate debate or amendment was recorded on the ordinance during the meeting.
Other consent items approved at the same time included funding approvals for special legal counsel on sewer matters and labor negotiations and routine financial and administrative approvals.
