Engineer Scott Meinders briefed the Winnebago County Board of Supervisors on a gravel stabilization pilot using a product described in the minutes as “Dust Pods.” Meinders said the treatment is intended to minimize dust and reduce the need for blading on treated roads. He estimated the project would require between 12,000 and 15,000 gallons of water per mile to apply the treatment.
