The Butler Planning Board carried the hearing for the Daskal Holdings major site plan at 113–115 Carey Avenue to July 16, 2026 after residents raised sewer-capacity and easement concerns.
Attorney Blagoje Petreski introduced the application and said the applicant seeks site-plan approval; Engineer Eric Hough of Bertin Engineering was sworn and described the project’s need for several C-1 variances, including a requested maximum height in excess of the 35-foot limit (recorded in the transcript as about 37+ feet). The use itself is permitted on the property but the lot is undersized.
During public comment, Scott Mefford of 122 High Street described ongoing sewer problems in the neighborhood and asked how the system would handle increased flow from the proposed project. Keith Worman (130 Carey Avenue) raised the possibility of an easement, and Pat McGowan (144 East Bellevue Avenue) also described sewer issues. The board carried the hearing to its July 16 meeting to allow the applicant and staff to address those capacity and utility concerns.
No vote on the merits was taken; the continuance gives the applicant time to provide additional engineering or utility information requested by residents and the board.
