The Lake Region School Board approved multiple personnel and policy items as consent blocks and recorded several staff resignations and transfers.
The board approved personnel items A1–A5 by unanimous consent, appointing Ronda Jacobson as director of adult education and approving multiple teacher and support-staff appointments and replacements with effective dates in June and August 2026. The personnel committee reported revising a district intervention coordinator role into a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) coordinator to oversee evidence-based, equitable interventions across buildings.
On policy work, the board advanced two curriculum-related policies as first readings (separating policy from procedure) and unanimously approved removal of three duplicate policies after discussion that employee recognition would continue informally though a specific policy would be removed.
The board also recorded resignations and transfers read into the record, including resignations effective June 16 and June 30, 2026, and multiple position transfers effective August 31, 2026. Following business, the board voted to enter executive session to discuss a student matter pursuant to MRSA 4056p.
The board recorded the personnel and policy actions as unanimous on the meeting record.
