Select Board releases RFP for Town Office complex design and construction

The Carrabassett Valley Select Board voted unanimously on June 23 to release a Request for Proposals for design, engineering and construction services related to rehabilitating or replacing the Town Office complex. The RFP frames three scope options: a basic rehabilitation, a partial overhaul combining some major work, and a full redesign of the complex. Jay Reynolds moved to release the RFP and Lloyd Cuttler seconded.
Town Manager Garrett Corbin said any award would be expected to produce a proposal for voter consideration at the March 2026 Town Meeting. Corbin also noted that the town’s Pickleball capital project’s wetland study was not yet complete and had delayed synchronization of capital projects.
The Board discussed timing and review and decided to release the RFP immediately so design teams can respond; the motion passed unanimously.
