Staff told council there will be a special meeting with public hearings to consider proposed zoning code amendments, requests to allow gravel parking in the village and variances for a townhouse project off Fairview Avenue. Greg Daniels, who is working on new community authority (NCA) legislation, will attend the Thursday special meeting to take questions.
Staff also said it expects rezoning applications affecting Johnsville Road and another parcel to arrive in time for the July 20 meeting; if both arrive simultaneously staff may publish a June special zoning meeting to handle them earlier. The village will post public notices and is preparing meeting logistics and space to accommodate anticipated audiences.
What happens next: council members were asked to indicate whether they will attend the public hearing so staff can ensure a legal quorum and arrange for comment and questioning of legislative staff at the special meeting.
