Hanover selectboard hears clerk’s financial update; auditor visit set for Aug. 19

Town Clerk Kelly Harrington told the Selectboard on July 22 that the town’s books for the fiscal period have been closed and all 2022 taxes have been collected. She said an auditor is scheduled to arrive on Aug. 19 and that Frank S. Morrison Jr. has signed the auditor contract.
Harrington reported that Responsible Pet Care has a new contract with the town and that the school budget passed this year with an increase in spending. She said the town needs to review accounts before the auditor’s visit to ensure records are in order.
The Selectboard accepted the minutes of its June 18, 2025 meeting. The board also reviewed Planning Board minutes and noted that John Booth’s subdivision was approved by that board.
The board reviewed and signed warrants before adjourning at 1:20 p.m.; the next Selectboard meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2025, at 1 p.m.
