State Senator Katie Muth presented the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Community Pride Award to Beth and the Litter Lifters of West Vincent during the township’s June 15 meeting, praising volunteer litter‑removal work that has grown from a handful of residents in 2020 to a countywide network.
Muth said she had personally joined volunteers and nominated the group for the award because of their steady environmental stewardship. Rachel Griffith of Chester County Planning and local staff thanked the honorees for helping new cleanup efforts start around the county and said the group has become a go‑to resource for starting community‑based litter efforts.
Board members and the audience offered congratulations and commended the volunteers for improving local streams, roadside views and property values. The presentation included brief remarks by honorees acknowledging local police, businesses and county partners who have supported the effort.
