Roxbury schedules Jan. 14 public hearings on parking, dog ordinances and fire-department policy

The Board of Selectmen set public hearings for Jan. 14, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. for the Parking and Dog Ordinances and for a Billing and Restitution Policy for the Fire Department; the subdivision ordinance fees were found to conflict with the town fee schedule and will be corrected.
The Roxbury Board of Selectmen announced that public hearings on proposed Parking and Dog ordinances and on a Billing and Restitution Policy for the Fire Department will be held Jan. 14, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
Selectmen noted several ordinance and policy items under review: the town’s comprehensive plan is awaiting updated numbers, procurement and pay policies have no new updates, and the subdivision ordinance contains a discrepancy between the fees listed in the ordinance text and the town’s fee schedule. The board said it will work to reconcile the fee difference.
The board’s announcements also reiterated meeting dates: the Planning Board will meet Dec. 5 and the next Selectmen’s meeting is Dec. 17. The public hearing schedule was announced as part of the selectmen’s closing remarks.
