Roxbury schedules public hearings on parking, dog and fire-department billing ordinances

The Roxbury Board of Selectmen voted Nov. 26 to schedule public hearings for three town measures: a Parking Ordinance, a Dog Ordinance and a Fire Department Billing & Restitution policy.
Selectman Timothy Derouche moved that the Parking Ordinance, Dog Ordinance and the fire-department billing policy be placed on the Jan. 14, 2025 public hearing agenda; Selectman Ray Hodsdon seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The board amended the hearing time to 5:30 p.m. The minutes record the Dog Ordinance public hearing date as Jan. 14, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
Separately, the board voted 3-0 not to adopt a proposed Sovereignty Ordinance. The board signed the EMA, Addressing, and Site Plan Review ordinances as presented.
The scheduled Jan. 14 hearing will give residents an opportunity to comment on the ordinances before the board considers final adoption.
