At its May 21 meeting the Sandy Beach Commission approved administrative and financial housekeeping measures including new bank signers, a roof repair payment, and new online payment options.
Tom Matthews moved to authorize Kathleen VanOrmer, Andrew Parker and Lara Norris as authorized signers on the Union Savings Bank Concession Account, to remove Denise Parker and Todd Dyer as signers, cancel Todd Dyer’s debit card, and authorize issuance of a debit card in Lara Norris’s name. Jenn Parsons seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Kathy VanOrmer gave the treasurer’s report, noting a commission balance of $2,343 as of May 20. Commissioners noted the roof repair performed by The Last Builder and recorded receipt of a $1,500 invoice for that work; Jenn Parsons was assigned to follow up with Ed Ryle on the insurance claim related to the repair.
Kathy also reported she created a Venmo account and a Google Form to accept online payments for beach passes and swim lessons. The commission continued work on the Bantam Lake Ski Club contract; Ed will revise the agreement to include a staff‑availability disclaimer and will review the revised contract with Lara Norris before sending to the club.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.; Terry Connor moved to adjourn, Lauren Wheeler seconded and the motion was recorded as unanimously approved.
