The DeWitt City Council unanimously confirmed Mayor Susan Leeming’s nominations to multiple city boards and commissions at its Nov. 25 meeting.
Councilmember Donohue moved to confirm the appointments as listed in a Nov. 21, 2024, memorandum; Councilmember Whitman seconded and the motion carried by a unanimous vote of the five members present (Leeming, Hunsaker, Donohue, Whitman and VanDyke). The motion included the corresponding expiration dates for each appointment as provided in the memo.
The confirmations were handled as a single consent motion; the minutes record no amendments or roll-call objections. The approvals complete the mayor’s periodic appointments to advisory bodies that assist with planning, parks and other city functions.
The council also approved routine meeting business earlier in the session, including adoption of the meeting agenda and approval of prior meeting minutes. The meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
