River Ridge board adopts Resolution 2024-05, approves $173,367.78 MRI ditch‑cleaning contract

At its June 25 meeting, the River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 2024-05 to amend the use of proceeds from its Improvement Revenue Note, Series 2024, and authorized a first amendment to the loan agreement with Synovus Bank.
District Manager Chuck Adams presented Resolution 2024-05, and the Board adopted the measure on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Mountford, recorded as "with all in favor." Immediately afterward, the Board approved the MRI Construction, Inc. estimate to perform dry retention flow-way ditch cleaning adjacent to River Course holes #6 through #8 in the amount of $173,367.78 (motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly; vote: all in favor).
District Engineer Charlie Krebs and staff answered questions about the scope, including debris removal, control structures and funding sources. Mr. Adams stated loan proceeds will cover the drainage projects as part of the original scope, with an additional 10% contingency for irrigation included by staff. The board did not amend the adopted budget at the meeting; staff flagged the FY 2025 budget discussion for future consideration.
The approved contract is the immediate operational step to address the ditches adjacent to holes 6–8; the district also authorized amending the Series 2024 Note to cover these and related drainage projects. The District will move forward with contractor scheduling and staff will report progress at future meetings.
