The River Ridge Community Development District Board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman from Seat 1 (term through November 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Cleo Adams, District Manager, presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and explained the vacancy procedure. Because this is an appointment to fill an unexpired term rather than an election, staff and board members agreed to E-blast The Meadows and post candidate qualification requirements, asking interested residents to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting. The administration of the oath of office and associated ethics and disclosure materials were noted and deferred to a later meeting package.
The acceptance motion was made by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Robert Twombly, and recorded as approved by all present supervisors. The board directed staff to include candidate materials on the next agenda for consideration.
