The River Ridge Community Development District Board voted Aug. 27, 2024 to approve a set of goals, objectives and performance measures to comply with newly adopted state legislation known as HB7013.
Cleo Adams, District Manager, joined District Counsel Tony Pires and Chuck Adams, District Manager, in explaining that HB7013 requires special districts to establish and report annual goals and objectives and to develop performance measures and standards to assess achievement. The District identified Community Communication and Engagement, Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance, and Financial Transparency and Accountability as initial focus areas for Fiscal Year 2025.
Staff noted the initial report is due on Dec. 1, 2025 and must be posted on the CDD website; the task was added to the district's key activity dates. The Board approved the Goals and Objectives and the Performance Measures/Standards & Annual Reporting Form on a motion by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Robert Twombly, recorded as approved by all present supervisors.
