JT Mayor presented the request, saying the package (tractor, fertilizer spreader, loader and cab) will cost $36,785 through a Sourcewell contract with Bingham Equipment. Supervisors noted the advantage of equipment compatibility with existing inventory to reduce parts variety and maintenance costs.
A board member amended the motion to expressly note the purchase is through a Sourcewell vendor for audit clarity; the amendment was accepted, the motion was seconded and the board approved the purchase by unanimous voice vote.
