Randolph schedules public budget meeting; board discusses water infrastructure and a guest's water-security concerns

During public comment, guest Laurel Telford said he opposed the town taking any grant money and raised concerns about Randolph’s water security, asking, “What do we want Randolph to be?” The remarks prompted board discussion but no formal change to the budget schedule.
Board members also discussed operational water needs. Board member Kaleb Thomson was asked to obtain price estimates for valves and new hydrants the town needs to replace, and members noted that overdue water bills remain an outstanding administrative matter to be addressed.
Next steps: the clerk will consult the town accountant and circulate a revised FY2027 budget to board members, and the board will hold a public budget meeting on June 10, 2026.
