Select Board approves annual staff appointments, election workers and several committee picks

The Select Board on June 2 approved a slate of annual appointments and administrative items, including staff and counsel appointments, election workers, and several committee and board appointments.
Executive Director Meghan Jop presented the staff and counsel appointments (Board of Fire Engineers, school crossing guards, traffic officers, campus special police). The Board voted 5–0 to approve staff, Town Counsel, and Labor Counsel appointments as presented. Ms. Jop also said the Town needs approximately 100 election workers to staff three elections this year, with the primary scheduled for Sept. 1, 2026; the Board approved the submitted election workers.
On committee appointments the Board appointed Ann Raider, Renee Spencer, and Corinne Monahan to the Council on Aging for terms expiring June 30, 2029, and appointed Brett Estwanik to the Municipal Light Board (term to June 30, 2029). The Board also appointed Thomas Goemaat as the citizen representative to the Town‑Wide Capital Planning Committee for a term to June 30, 2029. All votes were unanimous (5–0). The Board additionally approved the minutes of May 19, 2026, as amended.
