Conservation commission accepts withdrawals, continues hearings and issues routine negative determinations

The commission accepted an applicant request to withdraw the Zero North Main Street application after a motion to accept the withdrawal and a voice vote. The commission continued hearings for 103 Bond Road, 42 Ramon Road and 55 Jenny Road to the next meeting on June 17, 2026, following motions and voice votes to continue.
For 18 Hide Road, applicant Ian Mcha proposed a 12-by-24 gable-roof shed in a previously disturbed flat area; staff recommended filing a Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) rather than a full notice of intent. The commission voted for a negative determination on the RDA after a motion and second.
For 236 Hill Road, the applicant requested removal of up to 10 trees, several described as dead or diseased and the closest about 10 feet from the reservoir bank. Staff advised an RDA and the commission granted a negative determination by voice vote.
Commission business: minutes were not approved at this meeting, the commission reported no enforcement violations, and motions were made and approved to reappoint Alan, Ron and Peter to three-year terms. Mitch was absent and will be asked later about reappointment.
