Homeowner wins conservation approval for addition and shoreline work at 27 Robins Boulevard

Joshua Burton told the Town of Charlton Conservation Commission that he seeks approval for an addition to his home at 27 Robins Boulevard, repair to a shoreline retaining wall and landscaping. Burton said a similar permit had previously expired during COVID and that the zoning board of appeals had already granted required variances.
Staff reviewed a revised plan and told the commission the closest disturbance would be about 45–50 feet from the shoreline, that the deck footprint would not extend toward the water, and that erosion controls would be installed; Scott Jordan of Ecotech was identified as the expected oversight for restoration work if needed. Given those conditions, staff reported no objection to issuing an order with conditions.
A commissioner moved to close the hearing and issue the order with conditions; the motion received a second and passed by voice vote. Staff said they would contact Burton the following week to finalize details.
