Ott described how awarded agencies and projects were grouped by strategy, the intended purposes of expenditures, people impacted per grant, emergency funding summaries, and a reconfiguration of committee structures and the grant award panel.
The board accepted MOU/contracts for the third RFA, which awarded $372,737.50 across a range of nonprofit and community organizations. Listed awards included: BBBS/Community Match ($5,000), BBBS/Overdose Lifeline Perspectives ($1,887.50), DFC/Opioid Harm Reduction ($6,000), Good Samaritan/Community Wellness & Hope ($5,200), Limestone Health/Access to Tx ($49,000), LTHC/Housing Stability ($50,000), Meridian Health Service/Home with Hope ($25,000), MHA/Too Good for Drugs ($35,100), NAMI/Enhanced Training Program ($17,050), Outreach Advocacy Center/Community Clinic ($62,500), PPM/Lighthouse Recovery ($45,000), TC Sheriff/TCARRS ($46,000), The Hive/Community Access and Facility ($25,000.
Chair Ott summarized emergency funding provided and said the committee will continue to prioritize strategies that increase treatment access, support housing stability and strengthen prevention and recovery services.
