Planning Board approves cold-storage site plan, lot split and Hub Parkway signage; several items tabled
Summary
On July 15 the Valley View Planning Board approved a variance and site plan for a cold storage building at 6200 Hillcrest Dr., approved a lot split at 12811 Indian Mound Dr., and conditionally approved a pole sign at 7575 Hub Pkwy. The portable-sign request was denied and two variance requests were tabled.
At its July 15 meeting the Village of Valley View Planning Board recorded the following actions:
- 6200 Hillcrest Dr. (P.P.N. 572-06-005): The board approved a variance for a cold storage building and separately approved the site plan after staff and fire-department reviews confirmed mechanical and fire-safety documentation (Roll calls recorded).
- 5345 Canal Rd. (P.P.N. 571-08-011): A request for a portable sign (Valley Pizza) failed for lack of a motion and second and was recorded as denied by the Solicitor.
- 12811 Indian Mound Dr. (P.P.N. 573-26-001): A 2,142-square-foot variance from Ordinance Section 1248.04 and the proposed lot split were approved after the applicant (Sharon Rosenlieb) described the home location and easement arrangements.
- 7575 Hub Parkway (P.P.N. 573-27-020): The board approved the proposed pole sign for Pillar Storage with the condition that an approved landscaping plan be submitted to the Village engineer; the overall approval motion passed on roll call.
- 5440 Warner Rd. (P.P.N. 571-01-006) and 12360 Schreiber Rd. (P.P.N. 571-01-006): Both variance requests (automobile sales and the community home) were tabled for further staff research; the Warner Road owner was granted temporary permission to display up to six cars while staff examines conditional‑use options.
