Robbins, Ill. — The Village of Robbins Board of Trustees on Jan. 9 approved a series of administrative and contract items, voting in favor of a Flock Safety contract, a village-hall renovation agreement with MJZ Home Design, an ordinance regulating intercity buses and a temporary access agreement with Oneok.
Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson moved to approve the contract with Flock Safety, and the motion carried on a roll-call vote with Trustees David R. Dyson, Thomas Harper Jr., Tiffany S. Robinson, Gregory N. Jackson and Michael Collier Sr. voting yes; Trustee Ernest Maxey Jr. was absent. Trustee Gregory N. Jackson later moved approval of Resolution 1-9-24 R between the Village of Robbins and MJZ Home Design for the village-hall renovation; Trustee David R. Dyson seconded and the board approved it by the same 5–0 roll call.
Trustee Michael Collier Sr. moved and Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson seconded approval of Ordinance 1-9-24, a policy regulating intercity buses; the ordinance passed with the same vote pattern. A temporary access agreement for Oneok was moved by Trustee David R. Dyson and seconded by Trustees Thomas Harper Jr. and Michael Collier Sr.; the board approved the agreement with the same recorded votes. All four motions were recorded as carried during the meeting minutes.
The meeting also included routine financial action: Trustee Gregory N. Jackson moved and Trustee Thomas Harper Jr. seconded approval of the November 2023 treasurer's report totaling $1,129,877.98; the board approved that report by roll call (Dyson, Harper, Robinson, Jackson, Collier; Maxey absent).
Village Clerk Sharon Dyson conducted the roll-call votes for each motion. The agenda listed these items under “ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, ETC.”; minutes show no registered no votes or abstentions on the motions reported.
